C-Key16 - Extended function keyboard

The extended function keyboard expands the functionality of your operator terminal, adding 16 function keys and LEDs to your touch terminal as well as increasing the number of function keys for other terminals.

Up to four keyboards can be connected to one terminal. Thanks to the associated text area for each set of function key and LED, exact and clear communications with the operator is possible even if a keyboard is located away from the operator terminal.

C-Key16 is simple to implement in the application; the configuration of C-Key16 is made with the same software that is used for the terminals, Information Designer. C-Key16 is part of the main project for the operator terminal, therefore no special project download to C-Key16 is necessary. Changing settings such as station number, communications speed and port is easily done with the function keys.

C-Key16 has three serial ports which can be used for communications with the operator terminal and between extended keyboards. The extended keyboard can be placed right next to the operator terminal, or farther away depending on the port and cable, for example up to 15 meters when connected to the RS-232C port. C-Key16 is supported by the EXTER series and the operator terminals CIMREX 30-CIMREX 91 in the CIMREX series.
